For the day-to-day management of the Foundation, the Central Government appoints a Secretary to Auroville Foundation who is a senior officer from the Indian Administrative Service or such central service. The Secretary lives in Auroville.
Presently, Ministry of H.R.D., Govt. of India entrusted the charge of Secretary to Shri.S.Loganathan, Registrar, Pondicherry Central University till the new incumbent joins the regular post of Secretary, Auroville Foundation after Shri M.Ramaswamy, IAS (MAH1982) completed his 5 year term.
